#BeYou: #Authentically

With Christmas a few days away and nearing the end of 2017 many people are making goals and claiming what their next season in life, 2018 will be. There is nothing wrong with that. I believe in speaking life into and visualizing your ideal situation.

I’m sure your social media timelines are sprinkled with post that include prayers, inspirational quotes and affirmations for you (I’m guilty of posting all the above). Nothing wrong with that either.

What I want to add to the conversation is BE YOU, AUTHENTICALLY!

Embrace where you are in whatever season it is for you at this moment in time. You may not be in the season of manifestation yet. Maybe you are still being battered by the storm? Honor that, stay faithful and praise your way through it.

You may be in sowing season where you are planting seeds, not harvest season. Or maybe some things are ready for reaping while some are still cultivating in the soil of the field of your dreams.

While I’m on the subject of different seasons and where you may be in life let me just add..be yourself

Stop making everyone else’s goals your goals! #relationshipgoals #bodygoals #whateverelsepeoplearemakinggoals! Just stop! You are a unique masterpiece, step into that. Following God’s will with the confidence that he will manifest it. He will manifest all of the greatness within your individual imprint of greatness on it for you to share with the world.

In our over indulgence on social media we have started to gloss over reality, viewing through filters and more and more we are coveting what others may be blessed with and that to me is a truly sad existence. gift looks gorgeous on you

Being your authentic self will take you further than trying to step into someone else’s custom fitted life imprint. There is nothing wrong with having a mentor, role model or being inspired by someone. That in fact is a beautiful thing which I think we are all capable of being for one another at any given point in time.

We all have our own unique set of gifts and talents just like we all have different weakness and struggles. Accept the fact that you are one of the greatest gifts that God has ever made because that is what you are to him no matter what you look like. No matter what you drive. No matter what your bank account looks like or where you live.cropped-beauty-for-ashes.jpg

I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Stand proudly with no make up on without the need to shout #nomakeup on social media. Please.

This kills me by the way…who cares. At least I don’t.

Flaunt that natural hair without worrying about someone telling you “I like it better long” or “braids suite your face” or whatever other dumb remarks about your hair people may make. You are absolutely gorgeous flaws and all.

No need to stand in the shadow of any one else’s talents and blessings. Be you, authentically.
